Hello peeps!

I'm appealing to the more knowledgable people on this forum to give me advice from the above. The Inland Revenue owed us a tax refund which we have now received, and even though it's Trev's money, I want to spend some on myself. After all, that's how marriage works! :)

So, I was hoping for advice on whether the AX10 is substantially better than the Ampworks for bass. There's only difference of about £10 between the 2 (AW is cheaper) but I just want something simple and woman-friendly (i.e. extremely simple!) to use that will give me a few different effects and stuff to muck around with and to give me new ideas for practice.

If anyone has any experience of either, or can recommend something better in the £60-80 category, I'd love to hear about it.

Plus, it has to sound good with a MM - part of my cash is going in my MM fund for either a Sterling or a SUB Sterling.

Thankyou!

Jack, or any other mod, if this is hideously off topic, just delete it! I won't be offended - promise! :D

How could Jack or any other mod find this off topic or offensive? You took time to explain marriage LOL.

Sorry I can't help you out with your question. Just laughed and bringing this one back to the top so it won't get overlooked.

Cheers tk. I'm just a bit conscious of this being a MM forum, not a Korg one.

And that is all you need to know about marriage :D

All I need to know about marriage my wife has taught me in the last 29 years. I sure wish she could have summed it up as briefly as you did. I would have gotten it the first year we were married.

Bowks that looks like it could be a winner! oooh - best price I'd found was £65 plus del... and I do need a new strap.. pink preferably :D

Trev's got an AX10 for guitar on the way that will arrive 2mo - I'll have a look at it and see if the bass version is likely to have too many bells and whistles for me. It'll be my first effects unit and so is likely to be enough - I hope!

Got a 3 day weekend too - hopefully it could be here by then for me to play with...
