Southern Rock and Slide Clinic in Sacramento, Ca

I just got word that Sacramento's Skips music is holding a Southern Rock and Slide Clinic on August 12th at 6:00. Local area guitar slinger Billy Haggard is going to be sharing with knowledge of Southern Rock and Slide techniques. This is a free clinic and should be a great opportunity to pick up some extra licks.

I just got off the phone with him and he will be having specials on Ernie Ball Strings (per my request) so if you're free come on out and if nothing else get some strings.

so very true... i did say strings i told the clinician that if i was going to have people come out he had to have some eb specials- which he said he would work on that for me and the knuckleheads that might show up.

i went to an albert lee clinic where it was just AL playing... which was incredible- no guitars were present.

i inquired about bringing along a guitar as well and he said that if i wanted to bring one i could but it was more informative. In this case a video camera might be the best tool for the evening.
