What color is that ? Is it glacier blue? gremlin green ? I am guessing glacier blue. If you have not yet post that serial number in the official serial number thread and CS can tell you exactly what color it is and when it was built. Oh and if you ever decide to sell, contact "Headstock" via PM.![]()
Thanks!
It was NOS at a dealer on LI that really has a ton of nice guitars. The color is right between blue & green more blue maybe but only by a little. In fact, it looks like the aqua stripe on your couch in the photo.
The mm90's really cut nicely but are not too harsh. Great pickups.

I've always found that Royal wouldn't deal, but I've never been there only done business over the phone and via email.
What other sparkles did they have???
Dude you really scored huge man.
If you ever decide to part with it, I will be interested.

Well honestly, they did not discount below the price marked (and I did ask), but they really did everything right.
1) They let me play anything I wanted without any pressure, even letting me play the same guitars through several amps.
2) Both of the salesman I dealt with knew the line inside and out and were happy to answer questions, a lot of them.
3) They were genuinely interested in my getting a great instrument, not just making a sale.
4) They even went so far as to offer to swap necks for me when I was thinking about a maple board.
I felt like I was dealing with a bunch of musician's who also happened to be salesmen. They were the good kind of salesmen.
In short they totally sold me on attitude and service, not price.
btw, I have no affiliation with Royal at all. I actually walked in there for the first time in February to kill some time while my wife Katie, was hanging out with her girlfriends. I had never heard of Royal but when I started to gas for a Ball I noticed that they had a bunch on eBay and that they were about 5 miles from Katie's friend's house, so I offered to drive her out that day... what a nice husband I am!
They had an Orange Sparkle Sport too (as of Friday) but I forget the pickup configuration.
Thanks for all the nice compliments, it is a huge score for me... and it's not for sale...

Steve, that's great to hear, always good when someone finds a place to get an instrument that just does it right. For me that's Pete and Nick Dubaldo over in CT.
Ok, so no tell me about that amp in the picture man??
Glenn |B)
Yes, now that I am back into EBMM's a trip to Dubaldo's can't be too far off. In fact we just booked a show in CT in July... so we may have to go up early.
I currently have 2 amps, the Swart in the pics and a Divided by 13 JRT 9/15.
That amp in the photo is a Swart AST pro in Red Sparkle and it is awesome. They also seem to have discontinued the sparkle thing but I got this from an internet friend.
The amp is an 18 watt non-mv with tube reverb and tube tremolo. It is perfect for most of my indoor gigs without going through the PA and works anywhere it gets mic'd too. It's also a great amp to record since you can dime it and still not crush the mics on input. The verb and trem are not to be believed, they really set the standard. I can't say enough good things about that amp. According to some, the downside might be clean headroom, but it's just a matter of rolling off the volume knob to clean it up.
It's also small and light which I rally love since I am the roadie as well as the guitarist in my band... come to think of it I am also the manager, driver, instrument tech, and craft services.
