I never seen one with the brass knuckles on the body before.(the white one). I'm not to struck on the pink one but whatever floats his boat. Thanks for posting the pic.

I'm not a fan of pink but I'm kind of digging it.
I've been seriously considering one of these to keep the JP7s company. I'm not a fan of Benji or his band but those guitars are cool. Simple.

I use to have a fuscia (pink) washburn about 10 years ago. It wasn't that bright, but it was pretty cool. :p

Can anyone explain how that guy even got a sig guitar???
Very confusing...
Steve

He played a Silo prior to the deal and was very fond of EBMM's like we all are. Big Poppa put out the reason why several months ago. To each his own. I think it was a good decision on EBMM's part due to the exposure. Sure, he can't shred or tell you what chord he strums, but the advertising is priceless if you think about it. From a business standpoint, it was a good decision. Personally, I don't listen to Good Charlotte, but, there are several bands on this planet who have endorsed artists that I don't like. I think they (EBMM) have all the genre's covered besides Death Metal..... ;)

+1 to Koogs...tact is key...Steve, way to beat a dead horse. WHO CARES why BM got a signature model....point being while GC may not be our style, they make some kid smile somewhere and maybe, just maybe pick up ANY EBMM and think it's pretty cool, just like their idol Benji...and for the record...add that pink to the finish line up...

I remember when I first saw GC and thinking it's great to see one of these style bands using EBMM. If it means that guitar shops are going to carry MM because of Benji ,well that's a win for us. I can tell you it is very rare for shops here in Australia to carry the guitars. Basses are a different story. I've had a number of discussions with the Importer here in Oz about that too. So personally if shops are going to support the guitars because of Benji then that's great. BTW how do we know that he doesn't shred? GC doesn't play that style of music. If I play cover tunes and use an EBMM does that mean I don't shred? When at home I don't play Brown eyed girl I can assure you of that. I'm more interested in playing Eric Johnson and Robben Ford when I'm at home.

thats a great point. a buddy and I had that argument this weekend ... not about Benji/GC but punk-rock guitarists in general. just cuz the songs you put out to the public arent "hard" to play doesnt mean you dont have a "private" stash of crazy licks or a bag of tricks that dont suite your bands style.

im not a GC fan ... but ill support anyone that plays punk :)

btw: the simplicity of this guitar is really growing on me.

also if you look at the pic Derek posted at a wierd angle it looks like the rosewood neck w/ black headstock belongs to the white guitar. that that would looks pretty sick! white finish w/ rosewood and black headstock :)

My 13 year old daughter loves those guys . . . nuf said.

Seriously - she's smart and has mostly good taste in music, so I figure they can't be all bad. Not everyone wants to listen to Steve Vai or Petrucci (I can't understand why sometimes, but I loved KISS when I was 13 and they're not exactly virtuoso's either.)

Music can be simple and not highly skilled and still move people - look at Green Day. (I know I'm going to get some crap form someone for this post . . . )

No offense meant if you're a Benji, KISS or Green Day fan. Peace.

I only implied that he does not shred based on the music they play. He might be throwing down some serious runs off stage and what not. I don't know. I only based that on the music they play. It was only an observation that just because he does not shred in his style of music, does not mean he can't be endorsed. Look at all the other endorsed artists......serious and tasteful shred and music. GC is more of a fun band kinda like KISS. Both bands are not in the same relm, but fun.

Benji has a signature model.......it is advertising for EBMM and like OC said, it may make a fan buy one. Two things come out of it....the owner gets a siggy by his favorite artist and one awesome EBMM. How can you lose?
