"You can have my girl, but don't touch my hat."

Or my Bongo, of course.

Bovine, I would like to thank you for being one kick ass moderator. The Talk Ass moderators have made me realized how truly childish that place is.

Well first of all, thank you.

Second of all, if that is really a term, I am glad that we do not have the traffic that Talk Bass does, because that would make it much harder for me to be the cool mofo that I obviously am.

Seriously - I know a lot of TB mods, and as far as I know, they do the very best they can - and the amount of children they get over there makes it tough. I do not envy them their work.

So give 'em a break if you can. But you can still keep complimenting me in the meantime, really. I don't mind so much!

No kidding - thanks.

Nice hat and a cool bass! BUT a button shirt??? I would never wear a button shirt or a belt while playing any of my basses. Of course that leaves me wearing the worn out Jaco t-shirt and my pants constantly fall down whenever I play bass. But that’s the price I’ll pay to keep my basses scratch free.

Man, am I ever going to baby my lefty Bongo, rest assured it’s going to a good home.

Psycho

Nary a button to be found on that shirt - them's snaps, you greenhorn city boy!

I know, I know - but that Bongo there is the King of All Bongos and is never going anywhere anyway, so I can't get overly concerned about resale value....and while I don't abuse my stuff in any way (I even polished the bass after the boys here pointed out how many fingerprints they saw in a recent photo), it is meant to be played and sometimes I want to dress funny and wear a hat and so on.

But now you have me thinking - gonna have to check the Bongo backside to see if the snaps inflicted any wounds.

I am ALWAYS aware of the belt-buckle issue. I wear my belt, but ensure it's covered.

Can't say I ever worried about snaps or buttons, though... ;)

My Bongo's a keeper. Resale value? Psh. Baby the thing? PSH. Polish it? PSHAW! Dents, scratches, grease, graffiti, funny smells, pyramid scams, etc. don't bother me. As long as nothing's broken, it's perfect. :D

I usually just slide the buckle around to an area near my left hip (I play right-handed). Then it's out of the way, no accessories needed! ;)

I really don't want to derail Jack's wonderful picture thread, but....

Oh, please. You're in no position to criticize anyone at Talkbass--Does the phrase "Part of the problem" have any meaning for you?
If it's so bad, do us all a favor, and stop going there. Seriously.

Oh yeah, that tort guard really works for me. That's the third PG it's had on it, and I doubt I ever change it again.
