Speaking of Matching Headstocks....

I just got lucky- if matching head is preferred. Love the roasted anniversary and BFR headstocks.
Was nice that this Christmas stocking stuffer happened to have one. Piezo too. Been gas'g for
one for awhile. Black just takes out the guesswork. Nigel Tufnel quote.

I tend to like matching headstocks with rosewood over maple as well.

Some colors do work with maple. Have a trans orange maple with matching headstock and it looks good on that bass.

What about non-matching headstocks like the Radiance Red LE that came with black headstocks? The black works with that color with a rosewood board.

If I have a maple fretboard, I prefer a natural headstock. If it is a roasted maple neck, then I definitely want the headstock unfinished. If the fretboard is rosewood, ebony, pau ferro or something else, then I don’t mind a matching headstock. Even on a non roasted maple neck and/or fretboard, I’m kind of neautral if the headstock is painted or not.

I like matching ones as long as they are not a burst. But in the long run it doesn't matter if the neck feels good.
