This is something I've always wondered about:
If you had to do a refret on a JP BFR, how would you go about getting a good cosmetic result? It looks like there's poly over the fret ends. Wouldn't this tend to crack while removing/reinstalling frets? Would you sand and respray? Could it be done without witness lines?
Maybe there's a standard technique for guitars that have painted necks without binding?
