What we should have learned here is that if we sit and wait patiently, something cool happens.

Who's with me?

Jack

I totaly agree.

However sitting here at home by myself makes me contemplate question like " SR5 vs. Sterling 5" Maybe I should just pick up my SR5 and play instead

I'm shure BP and the gang have more unexpected awsomness waiting for us! Can't wait!!! In the mean time, I gonna go order me some 20th aniv goodness!!!:D

What it sounds like is that there makeing a real STINGRAY but with 5 strings and calling it a Sterling 5?

I wish they would call it a stingray 5 and the and current stringray 5 be called a Sterling 5, either way would cause confusion...

I don't know, I can't seem to make my SR5 sound anything like my Sterling no matter how which switch positions or eq I use (and I think this is a good thing), so regardless of the building simularities, they each have their own distinct sound. I actually think the SR5 sounds more like a Stingray than a Sterling. (Which makes perfect sense given the name.) And I would guess the Sterling 5 will have more of a Sterling sound, and have even more Sterling options than the SR5.
