Is it true that the EB splitter box 6190 has been discontinued? I asked about it at my EBMM dealer, and he checked with the Canadian Rep, and from what they said the splitter box was no more. Figured I'd check with those who know. Thanks for your help!

Yeah, those were discontinued. We need to make room for all the cool stuff we're working on in the EB string and accessory world. I think we may still have some stock around though.

I'd be highly interested in one of those. I'll speak to my dealer in order to catch one of those...

Unless something new related to that is coming up and I should wait *hint* ;)

What does the splitterbox exactly do?

is it only a Y - split? or does it also has some sort of ground lift?
(is there a tranny inside to have a galvanic split?)

here's the scoop right off of our website:
The Ernie Ball Music Man Piezo/Magnetic Splitter Box is designed primarily for use with our line of Piezo pickup equipped guitars. The box can be used to split the stereo signal from the MAGNETIC/STEREO jack of the guitar into two separate Piezo and Magnetic signals. These signals can then be routed to separate amps, mixing channels, effects loops, or whatever else is desired. The box can also be used to split any stereo signal into two separate mono signals. The box will not have any effect on our Piezo pickup equipped basses since the only available output signal is mono. The Splitter Box doesn't require a battery.

International Customers.....we do have a few Splitter Boxes left in stock. However they are **not** ROHS compliant. If you have any questions as to if your country is ROHS affiliated please feel free to e-mail me [email protected]

Our #6165 stereo volume/pan pedal also works great to split you piezo/magnetic signal.

Cheers!

I think Morely make something similar.

I have a Morely. It's not bad, but I wouldn't call it pro gear. Switches are pretty loud at higher volumes, and if you're going one guitar to two amps, it could use an active signal booster. Even when active on one amp there's quite a bit of signal loss.

Does the #6165 stereo volume/pan pedal function just as good as the 6166 VP?
