So I've wanted to do this for some time, but have not ha a chance this whole summer until today. I stopped by a music store to pick up a 250K alpha push-pull pot, and also got a chance to test drive a Mesa Lonestar which is an awesome amp.

Anyway, bottom line is that the Morse pickups DO sound phenomenal when they are split. I know that beej and Tommy have mentioned this, and it stuck with me for some time. I only added 1 push-pull on the tone knob which splits both neck and bridge. So basically I have 9 different options now.

The only funny thing is that the bridge was split with the bobbin toward the neck instead of the one closer to the bridge. So it is not hum canceling when I have both the Neck and Bridge split. But I dont mind, since all the other split positions make some noise anyway. Plus it sounds great as is.

The other funny thing is that I wired it the other way around which was my mistake for not paying more attention. When the tone pot is down everything is split haha. But this is very simple to fix, but I dont mind it right now.

I really like the neck split...allows me to play some nice Andy Timmons stuff now which I could not exactly pull off with the full on humbuckers.

If anyone has a silent single coil circuit lying around I'm willing to buy it. I gave mine to beej from my Silo Special...how ironic.

Yea, I cant complain about the top :D! When I saw it on Pete D.'s site, I knew I HAD to have it. It just completely mesmerized me...including the dark birdseye sprinkled maple neck.

I love this guitar even more now with the single coil tones which are pretty convincing...other than the actual single coil which is awesome!
