What a mess. Seller originally shipped the wrong guitar. Imagine opening the case expecting to see an EBMM headstock and instead find a tele headstock with no logo. Got it all worked out and the Axis Sport arrived today. I seriously thinking about taking to the gig tomorrow night.

Here are the pics!

That's a sort of funny story!
Congrats on the proper guitar. She's a beauty!

I love it. The humbucker is much clearer than my Wolfie. She seems to have little more midrange spank to her too which should help cut through the mix a little better.

Got a big gig tonight and not sure if I should take the Sport as my patches are all designed around the Wolfie but I'll probably just take the sport and my Variax (alt tuning stuff).

Sweet plank, and I dig the 911 in your avatar pic!

So... did you play the Sport at the big gig tonight? Inquiring minds want to know... :D

Glad that it worked out for you.

The Sport is just a fantastic guitar, a real workhorse.

So I left the Wolfie at home at took the Sport. The only downside was stuff I normally play on the neck pup was a little weaker due to the single coil but that's a nit. Whatever the slight difference in the necks is the Axis just suits my hands better especially on chords, really glad I grabbed this little gem. I'll have to record some tracks with the Sport, the Super Sport and the Wolfie for comparison.

Gig went well. Girls dancing all night, client happy, etc.

Jodi- Played at a venue called Bourbon Rocks on 6th Street in Austin. Supposed to due an acoustic thing on Lake Travis tomorrow but the lake is flooding so I doubt we'll play. Another bar gig Saturday then a corporate party next Saturday. The last 2 weeks have been insane and I'm ready for a bit of a break. The good news was I took the week off from work so I can sleep today :)

Jodi you must be from central TX.

I think we are at 15+ days straight of rain. The bad one was when Marble Falls got 16" of rain in 6 hours which basically flooded the whole town. They said that if the highland lakes where not built the entire city of Austin would be under 4 feet of water.

Supposed to continue through Wednesday or Thursday of next week.

I wish they all could be Californian .... or, er ummm
I'm from South CA all my life .. but spent some time in Austin.
I love it there. Actually lived in the Bee Cave area.
I'll be back out to visit in a couple weeks, so I was curious about the weather ... yikes!
