Hey Guys and Gals,

I just played my first gig in about 10 years with my beautiful AL run through an Egnater Rebel 30. The guitarist from the other band was drooling over the AL so I let him play it for a bit... his final words... "I gotta get me one of these!" Mind you, he had a stunning Tele and a really sweet sounding SG but was just taken by how comfortable the AL is and how it sounds. He and his other guitarist said the tone of the AL slayed. :)

It was a simple set-up. AL, DS-1 for boost only, Rebel on the clean channel...Blooze Deluxe!

Hey James, I'd like to know more about the Egnater Rebel 30, i'm thinking it could be my next amp...have you had the Axis through it, if so how did it sound and what type of music were you playing though it??

That's something I hear a lot about my AL's...here in Germany they're not all that popular so quite a few people are surprised it's an EBMM...then there's the looks, kind of a "love it or leave it" thing...based on the looks people seem to think it can't be really comfortable to play which is another concern to most...but the sound never ceases to amaze! If then they get to play one and discover how well balanced and comfortable the AL is they usually start to freak out and I start to smile!

I have played my Axis through the Rebel. The clean sounded great but it really shines through the crunch channel. I played some blues, some harder rock, and some country stuff with the Axis and the amp handled it all. The nice thing about the amp is the tube blending capability. It has 2 EL84's and 2 6V6's so you can really get a lot of great rock tones out of it. The only thing it really doesn't do is the dual recto-type metal though you can drive it in that direction with a pedal like my DS-1.
