I've been adjusting the action on my SR 5 after a string change and I'm loving the way I can set the neck with minimal relief and still have no buzz.
On my bass the strings are a little higher at the end of the neck than at the nut.
I was wondering though if it is possible or even desirable to keep the string distance from the frets the same all the way up the neck or is this a trade-off situation?
Would the answer be to introduce more relief and lower the string heights at the bridge?
thanks
