SR carbon fiber neck ?

hello

i was wondering if there are any SR 's with caron fiber necks or graphite i have always been interested with guitars/bass's with different neck materiels. were there any or is there a bass EB still makes with these neck materiels.

I believe the Cutlass I and II had carbon fiber necks. EB doesn't make any basses with those necks anymore. You'd have to get an aftermarket one. Oldbluebassman had one installed for this Pacific Blue Burst SR (was it an SR?) and tricked it out with LEDs on the side. It's an awesome lookin' beast!

The Cutlass Basses were Pre-Ernie Ball instruments. The only Ernie Ball bass that comes to mind is the 100th NAMM Anniversary Bass offered in 2001.

Perhaps EBs version of the Cutlass

The Bass was officially introduced on 18 Jan 2001 at the NAMM international music market, Anaheim, California US. Certificates of Authenticity are signed by the designer on 16 Jan 2001 and state "Centennial Collector Series - Limited Edition".

A total of 100 were made. I believe 50 stayed in the US and 50 went overseas.

*Finished in Inca Silver with screw-on Black Pearloid pg.

*3 Band EQ.

*Graphite neck with phenolic fretboard made by Status (UK).

*Capstan wheel truss adjustment. (Cutlass Bass necks were non-adjustable).

*The bridge appears to be a reissue of the circa 1979 Pre-EB Sting Ray bridge design...strings through body, adjustable string mutes, hollow string saddles with hex screws. It has the Pre-EB type serial numbering system of a "B" followed by 6 digits located on bridge. However, Micro Tilt for the neck is NOT included.

I had one of the 100th Anniversary Stingrays and sold it (that looks a lot like the carpet in my basement).....

why, why

IT WAS PERFECTION!!

Definitely in the top five bad decisions I've made.

I currently have an '87 SR4 body sitting and waiting for the right moment to be joined with a Status neck.
