Just got back from seeing Chris Cornell at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix. He put on a good show and the bassist (corey mccormick) was playing a variety of SRs. Most of the set he used a 4H (graphite pearl?), but threw in a little 5H (trans gold?) and a fretless 4HH (black cherry burst?).

Met him afterwards and told him it was good to see someone representin' the EBs.

Here's a shot from a fan site:

So thats Corey... nice Guy.. we sent him the Black Cherry fretless and we have a Black 4 for him to cover all the tunings Chris throws at the Guys. Yogi and Pete, the two guitars players and Corey are all EB string endorsers.

Thanks for the heads up and photo...

My Brother saw Cornell in Austin this weekend and told me that the bass player was using an Musicman of some sort. I am impressed that he actually knew that, I must have trained him decently.

A friend had invited me to KFMA Day (local radio station festival) with Chris Cornell headlining. Debating on whether to go.

He said he had just gotten the black cherry and was still getting used to it. Sounded great to me. tons o' mwah.

Looked like he was playing Mesa cabs and heads at this gig. No ampeg in sight, but then again I was opposite stage and back a bit.
