Is it just me or do Stingray's and Eden gear go really really well together? I know, of course a Ray is sound sweet through just about anything, but I just upgraded from a GK 800rb to an Eden Navigator pre amp and a 1400 watt power amp and I am stoked! Along with my Eden 2X10T and 1X15, I plugged my SR5 and holy clams, does this rig sound good!

The GK, I am now realizing is voiced to have tons of growly mids but does not reproduce the low deep bass that a five string commands.

My SR5 now has all the growl but with a punchy deep low end that just kills. On the bass I run everything dead flat in parallel mode and with all this headroom and the gorgeous warm tone of the Navigator, I am in total awe of my tone!

Anyone else experience this?:)

Lucky You :)
Dunno about the 'leftie' thing, but I know the Piezo option adds a whole extra dimension to the SR5 experience;
and I'm not sure you wouldn't require special permits from the "BCEA"* for testing this option with your EDEN rig out there in the valley ;)

Thanks for the rig compliments. Now if I just could do my gear justice with better chops!

It took me years to get organized enough to buy an SR5. Being a lefty is real pain as a bass player when it comes to accessing good instruments. Of course now I dream of an SR4 fretless. My wife has been amazingly patient with me this year. First the Stingray and then a rig upgrade! its all I can do stop playing my bass and when I finally put it back in the case, I usually have to stare at it for at least a few minutes.

I know I probably sound obsessed but my SR5 is everything I hoped it would be after suffering the GAS pains for years. I am still so impressed with the quality, fit and finnish, playability and the sound of my bass long after the "honeymoon stage" is over.

Someone in Bass Player Magazine once described the SR5 as "10 pounds of pure guts" and I couldn't agree more. Sorry for all the gushing but no one else understands!!! haha

That piezo option is intriguing but not available on lefties as I understand it. I can't complain though as EBMM seems to be representing the left handed customer better than most.
