Your taughts on the bass tone would be great.Your taughts in general would be a help.

Its a local girl here i am doing some recording with, great voice lovley girl loves my Stingray......cant blame her

Thanks Guys

Don't want to be a spoilsport, but....

... is it me or is the singer slightly flat a certain parts?
... the kick buries the Ray sometimes, probably due to compression
... a bridge, with a couple of different chord changes would be nice
... I'd try to have some slight tube like overdrive in the more busy parts of the song

Except for that, it's tight playing!
I especially dug the intro and the muted part before the end.

Sounds good to me. Don't be afraid to embellish on the staccato section near the end, I was hearing some great space for a nice little run. But it sounded great as it was recorded. The tone is dialed up nicely.
A good listen.

yeah cheers dude, she only came to me about a week ago and did a very rough vocal, she is a bit flat but it was a rush job
the kick it on a drum machine so if it buries the ray that would be my fault for not playing consistant
it defo need a bridge
overdrive..........could work,i will try that

thanks for the advice on it,when i get it finished i will post it again

Cheers

funny every time i feel like playing a run,i think of that quote......
"if the sound guy ask's you to play less, then you have already P1ssed him off"

I do like to keep it simple, but your right there is room for a run there

thanks again, the bass tone is the only thing i had spent time on and i love it

Nice song!

One comment for you on the mix: all of the instruments except bass and drums seem a bit squashed together and low in the mix. You could try bringing the vocals and drums down a tad, and doing some panning or maybe reverb to separate the guitars piano, etc -- that might bring everyone together.

The bass sounds great!
