This finish amazes me . In some light it appears as regular sunburst, in others just a dusting of glitter, and in sunlight it dazzles. The light colors vary from orange to almost a burgundy. I’ll post more pics when I have natural light to shoot from.

Sound wise, as expected, it’s brighter and spankier than my rosewood model, requiring a bit of taming on the high end. The bucker seems a bit more focused than the PAF pro on my other one.

Thanks, Y'all! :) I've never been a 'glitzee' kinda guy, preferring earth tones and such, but I'm knocked out by this baby. And thanks to the EB folks for their innovative and practical approach to guitar building.

Care to elaborate? I was wondering about the manufacturing process of these sparkle models, and if they present additional challenges.

I think I remember reading that it was difficult to clean the paint sprayer after using the sparkle paint. However, the main reason why the sparkles were discontinued is that they didn't sell.

Didn't meet sales expectations. Those of us here that have them are really glad we got 'em before they discontinued them.

If someone told me I’d own a “sparkly guitar” I’d say, not unless I’m in drag. But now I’ve SEEN the light and learned the truth: Real men really DO sparkle!

Yeah, it must make the finishing process much more complex and delicate. Shame they didn’t catch on though. Well, not really, as now I ‘spose they’re something of a collector’s item.

Oh yeah, I promised more pictures. Where’s that camera…

Thanks again to you all, and to the “brilliant” team at EBMM.

Btw, this forum rocks!

I have one like that with the white perloid pick guard. You probably did this but. Have a look at the back of the guitar with sunlight glaring on it BEEYUUUTTTIFULL.
At the time i wanted a standard burst and didn't care for the sparkle. I didn't want to wait so i took it any ways... Few! Glad i did:D
