Hiya All,

I have a beautiful S/S which was made for the MIAC 30th Anniversary.
Its SSS, and hand signed by Sterling as well....

I love it to bits but I want to fit a good stacked or mini Humbucker or something similar in the bridge position so I can get the best of SSS and HSS worlds without replacing the whole guard and pickup loom.

Anyone already been down this road and any suggestions for a bridge pick up to go with ?

Ideally a tapped p/up which would get me the SSS configuration in same guitar would be great - I think it would then do absolutely everything I need.

I'm in UK so any Brits in particular who can point me in right direction to pickup supplier would be great, but happy to hear all ideas obviously !!

Cheers
Pete

A friend of mine had a Silhouette Special SSS with a DiMarzio Fast Track in the bridge position, and that sounded great!

i had a seymour duncan hot rails... didn't mesh too well with the stock single coils...

maybe a lil '59 would be a good choice

I had that same configuration in a Strat prior to discovering EBMM. It was a very nice combo. FYI, just put a Suhr DSH+ in the bridge of my silo sp. and a Dimarzio Air Norton in the neck.(HSS) Killer combo.

Very interesting ...thanks

after lots of googling I am also reading good things about a Seymour JB Jnr. in the bridge position - any thoughts on that in combination with the stock Silo Special pickups in the middle and neck ?
cheers
