I am using the EB Stainless Slinky 10-46 guitar strings. Boy do these scream! They stay in tune well unless i wrap the strings right around the neck (i've done it!) and they sound amazing. The stainless stell wrap gives more edge/brightness to the tone of the guitar but you can get warm sounds with them. They are a little rougher on the fingers (big deal!) but I'm sure Ernie Ball can make a hybrid string that is similar to the D'Addario half-round which is a little easier on the fingers. The strings also do wear down the frets a little quicker but I dress the frets each time I put on a new set of strings. Just wanna say good work to the guys at EB for making a string that I and countless others enjoy.
As in another post, I mentioned that I am in a band. The name is Trapdoor. We are a rock trio, making our own songs as well as popular covers. My main influence is one of your ex-endorsees (shall remain nameless) and hope to buy an Axis or a used EVH in the near future. I have used nothing else but Ernie Ball strings on my guitars. They always get the job done and I plan to continue using Ernie Ball strings in the future.
Good job guys!!
