I know there was another video of Stan playing a Bongo but I don't remember ever seeing this. Forgive me if this has already been posted. Stan is a monster and the Bongo sounds amazing like always. Makes me want to play one more than ever. I have a 4HH right now that's on loan from Rex and I can't seem to put it down.

Superb, not sure where I've seen that before but enjoyed seeing it again.
Thanks for posting that. Love watching his left hand work.

awesome

does it sound like he's using an effect on the bass to anyone else? Sounds like a bit of chorus to me

Whatever it is, I like it

It sounds like it is in his fingers to me. Which is an effect that each of of may have different.

Of course I have never achieved the status of bass playing that Stan has.

I never fail to listen to anything he plays.

I can get that sound out of a single H bongo though. I just don't have the chops.

Fabulous!

@ those who heard a chorus: You're aware he's singing while playing?! ;)

BTW, I think at some point later while grooving he adds an octaver for a run. However, the compression from YouTube may add artefacts that may sound like effects on the bass.

I heard chorus at the start of the solo... before the slapping and scatting.
