Hi. I thought I'd drop by and introduce myself. I'm an avid Jackson / Charvel collector, and am putting together a nice group of EVH Musicman guitars. Here's the beginnings of my group (not pictured is a blue quilt, arriving tomorrow)...

A friend pointed me to this forum, and as a lurker for 3 months, I like what I see. Great job.

Thanks.

Wow!!!

Need any help playing them?? ;)

I bet those cases behind the EB's contain a few nice pieces too! How many guitars do you have and what got you into the EBMM's?

You and Ernie1966 could hold a guitar collection showdown!!! :D

Welcome aboard. That's a very nice flock of EVH's you've got there. I think you need to get some more guitar stands! :D

I glad to see I'm not the only collecting nut out there.

I'm in Houston, Tx

No, I do not own a music store - I'm the director of EHS for a very large company in town. I have about 70 guitars at the moment, with 5 more coming (3 on order from Jackson and 2 in restoration at GMW). I buy a guitar every week or two, and have been collecting seriously for 3 years. Currently I'm getting rid of all my bolt on Jacksons in favor of neck-thru models because I've run out of space in my music room.

The EVH MM bug hit when I purchased one (NOS) for a friend through a connection of mine. I took delivery and decided to play it - it ripped! From that point on I was hooked.

Not to sound stuck up, but I pretty much have every USA Custom Jackson I want, so it made sense to me to progress into the EVH MM's. I love the small neck and figured tops rule imo.

Here's a group shot of some Jacksons - if you keep up with Jacksons on ebay, this picture should interest you...

The rest of my guitars can be seen on my website.

Thanks for the compliments.

Man this is great, welcome to the board and tell us if the EVHs sound different from one to another, this would be very interesting.

He's got me beat already with 70, I have only 55 high-end electrics.

Wow,

really awesome. My uncle (who died in 2000 :( and was a guitar builder) was also a guitar collector. Had about 55 guitars at one moment. Though, mostly a Gibson man, it was really fun for me to stick around his place and see and drool all over that mass of nice, fine looking guitars. He never had an EBMM though, still can't figure out why he didn't but I bet it had something to do with the difficulties in finding one in store to try out and even more, the price tag over here in Belgium (he used to bargain a lot and always bought his guitars way cheaper than the actual store value).

Nevertheless, great collection and I'd go for one in every model as far as the EBMMs go. All those models rock, you can be sure about that one.

And welcome to the forum of course.

Hm  , isn't this my 100th post? That would be nice to get the 100 mark before the open house arrives :p .

Cheers, Tom.

Fogman, that must hurt. All those EBMM's and you still don't have one. :D Nice pics for your collection though.
