I really think that steel strings are best for the Bongo. The darker tonal qua;ity of the Bongo seems to be nicely offset by the Super Steps I have on there now...The E string is a little problematic , but that is likely a set up issue

I'm going to throw on the Super Slinky's that were included in the Open House bag on my Bongo when the stock set go dead.

I like to note-bend a lot, and I think these will do the job just fine.

I inherited some Hi Beams today on a single hummer Bongo.

Interesting. I might keep them a while.

The Fat Beams are kicking on the Bongo, too.

(If I were going to use rounds. I like Slinkys, too.)

i was once a Hi Beam fan ... but then i got hooked on the Stainless Steal Super Slinkys. I just got a mini shipment of em in the other day too.

the Fat Beams are pretty sweet too. i liked those a lot on my Jazz bass

I find that the DR's go deads in a week.If you are Marcus Miller and can get them for free then I guess they are ok.Unfortunatly I really like exposed core steel strings , so I guess I am stuck with the La Bellas.
