Is there any talk about a 5 string sterling? I know that it would be very similar to the SR5, but with the streamlined body, it would be sex.

and

Where can I get some cool pickgaurds for my sterling, I don't mean cool designs or colors, I mean, different shapes (IE one that also acts as a control plate, a la SR5)

It may be out of my place to say this, any other of the forum members may concur or deny, but the SR5 is a five stringed Sterling.

yes, for the most part, but if it had a more streamlined body, just how the Sterling body is smaller, and IMHO more comfortable.

I tried real quick, but "5" isn't a long enough word, I'll try again. What about my other question?.

Actually the StingRay5 came first. The Sterling is based on the SR5, not the other way around.

It'd be interesting if they made a Sterling 5, but with wide string spacing and without the switch, for irony :p. I'm sure it'd be a welcome model, actually.

Well with the wide spacing and no switch - they already do:

anyone care to answer my question about the pickguards?

Well, you can get different style pickguards from all sorts of sources, such as Ernie Ball, WD, Jeannie's or Bryan Boots, but if you want something that is a different shape to the original, you'll need to have it custom made. I'm sure any of the above, save EB, would do so if you provide a template.

The string spacing on the Sterling is the same as the SR5
