Hi members of The Ernie Ball Forum! This is my first thread so i hope to do it right.I recently bought a brand new Sterling by Musicman AX30D and i'm more than happy with the guitar, it has a great sound, quality and look. But i have a doubt for the future change of strings, i don't know what is the gauge of the strings it come. I don't want to ruin the intonation and calibration of the guitar, since it came perfectly set up (at least for my fingers and ears) and zero fret buzzing. i searched in the internet this data and there isn't info about it. My guess is that they are 09-42 Slinky's but i'm not sure. Sorry if there is grammatical errors, i'm from Argentina and my English writing is not the best. Thank you very much.

Welcome to the Forum and the EBMM Family!

AX30D is a FANTASTIC guitar, and it really came alive once we added the DiMarzio "Axis" pickups to the model (which is what the "D" in AX30D stands for).

The AX30D came from the factory with 10-46 Ernie Ball Slinkys. Now, the strings *could* have been changed somewhere along the line, since that guitar has been discontinued since 2014.

Let me know if you need anything else. I can generally answer all questions related to Sterling by Music Man ;)

Thank you Brian for the reply! Yeah, the dimarzio Pickups are a huge step up from my previous guitar. Now i can feel every strings ringing even with distortion, the notes and chords are much clearer. As i said is a great guitar. Thank you again.
