Just got the May 2009 issue of Bass Player magazine in the mail and read through their review of all three bass models of Sterling by Music Man. The review is mostly standard background and design information with a few positive comments thrown in.

"The Ray34 and Ray35 are fine replicas of the original Stingray, in both construction and sound."

Sidebar:
"Pros: Classic StingRay sound and construction at a good price; flexible EQ; solid construction
Cons: Slightly heavy; filter setting on the Ray35 doesn't do much"

And not one "one-trick pony" type of comment! Very nice.

I will put up a scan at some point.

Nice Blue burst Sterling you have. I have one just like it but it only has a single pickup. Sounds great anyway. It's like a improved Jazz bass but has a different feel to it, very comfortable fast action.

We all know bass player columnist Dave LaRue played the Sterling for years and now he plays the Bongo.
His workshops are just shredded gold!

I have Paul Maccartney's and Flea's bass player issues, among other. Would like to have the legends of British rock issue.

Hope you upload the scan soon.
