Silo 20
I'm really very interested in the new Sterling Silo 20. I currently play an inexpensive Fender Starcaster HSS. Not bad for a cheap guitar but I love pu configuration and the fretboard of the Silo 20. I have not played one but would love to. I've been previously interested in a Mexican HSS strat. But once I came across the Silo 20 with the great price, I have been very intriqued. Anyone else recommend it? Any more comments. Thanks.

Hello all, i have played bass for years and i just started playing guitar a few monts back. The first guitar i bought was a sterling silo 20 and i love it, i changed the bridge pickup to a dimarzio super distortion and put a new pick guard on it. I also picked up a trans red axis super sport and i play the silo 20 90% of the time, mostly because i dont want to put alot of ware on that really sexy axis. The silo 20 plays and sounds good enough that i am not longing to grab the axis all the time. Of coarse the axis sounds better and has a bit nicer feel to it but for the price the sterling is very hard to beat. Sorry for the low quality pics.

Silo 20 vs. new Fender Blacktop Strat
Ok, I've never played a Silo 20. I have played the new Fender Blacktop series Stratocaster which has two humbuckers. It has a five way switch, the two and four positions are single coil, the neck and bridge are full humbucker. I did like the action, I played them at my local Guitar Center, and I had tuning problems, of course they were right off the rack, probably not set up. They are made in Mexico Strats. I like the humbucking, single coil combination but I would really like to compare them with the Silo 20 but I've never been able to play a Silo 20. By the way, I do prefer a maple fretboard. Any opinions or suggestions?

I just played a JP50 at my local GC and it was disappointing to say the least.
I realize that it was a floor model, but the build quality seemed off to me,
and the factory setup was really bad. High string height and would not stay in tune.
I really wanted a new budget guitar like an AX40, but now I'm thinking twice about the commitment.

as far as i'm concerned , i received few days ago my silo30 and it's a really really nice guitar!!!
i've played on many many same priced guitars and very very had this quality of craft!!!
the guitar stay in tune even it's tuned in D and with 10-52 strings, the tremolo is very smooth and the locking tuners do their job very well!!! i think i'm gonna put EMG steve lukather pick ups and it will rock!!!!
