No, no, not THAT kind of head! Get your minds out of the gutter.

I picked this Sterling up about a year ago. It's a black sparkle finish, rosewood board, non-matching headstock model and dates from the very end of 1999. It hasn't been played much and is in SUPERB shape except for a ding on the back of the body at the neckplate. I would guess that someone was either removing or replacing the neck after checking the dates and the screwdriver slipped. Of course it's not visible while you're playing it, it's on the BACK, for God's sake, but it's there and now you know it. The bass comes in a crappy old Kramer or Spector or Mosrite case, but it IS a hardshell and will protect it. At the moment, it's strung with TI Flats.

This is the Sterling that beat out the other Sterlings I've had, including the most Beautiful Sterling On Earth, the sparkle white Sterling. It is one hell of a fine player and deserves a better home....or actually, it deserves a more ACTIVE lifestyle - the home itself is fine.

I am looking for a smaller, fairly lightweight and semi-powerful head in the tradition of the Eden WT-550. And in fact, an Eden WT-550 would fit the bill perfectly. I'll entertain other considerations, a Mesa Walkabout or one of those little Porta-whatever Ampegs? Run it by me, don't get your feelings all crushed if I say 'no thanks' but it doesn't hurt to talk about it, right?

Not really interested in selling it but I suppose I could turn cash into an amp easily enough. Here's the bass:

Here's the webpage for this particular bass:

I'm not really interested in selling it, although I suppose cash could fairly easily be turned into an amplifier.......either way, contact me at bovinehost(at)satx(dot)rr(dot)com if you have a proposal. I might say no, so don't get all huffy but it doesn't hurt to talk.

thanks!
