Sterling Jason Richardson 7 knob issue

Hello,
I purchased a Sterling Jason Richardson 7 String awesome guitar and nice neck. However I just noticed an issue with the volume push push knob to engage the 12db boost knob Is literally tightened down to the point I can’t engage the boost. Anyone know what the problem can be? not really experienced with working on guitars.

Most likely culprit is that the knob is mounted too low on the shaft of the pot, so you don't have enough room to depress it. I'd try loosening the set screw on the side of the knob and leaving a little more space under it.

If you take the knob off and you still can't depress the push/push switch, you might need to replace the pot. In which case you can order the pot, or get in touch with MM customer service, and they can help you out.
