I don't know if Sterling content is allowed here, but I just acquired TWO JP50s, the flat black models. I had one when they first came out, but had to sell it. It's a shame they don't make this particular model anymore, because it's a STUNNING value! And a good way for the average joe like me, to experience the Petrucci body and neck , when economics dictate. They're wonderful guitars, right out of the box, and play and sound great. The PUPS are actually pretty good as well. I actually hope to get a few more of these babys, and mod some of them.
Believe it or not, they're actually getting more play time than my 1995 Silhouette. And that's saying a lot. I realize some of that is just the honeymoon phase of getting new gear, but the JP50's really compare surprisingly well to their USA counterparts. I'm not saying they're going to replace my Silo as my number one, but man, those bodies ARE Addictive! The forearm contour is one of my favorite innovations in many years. These axes just melt into your body.
Anyway, sorry for the rant, but I wanted to give credit where credit is due, and these guitars are one of the best kept secrets in music.
