Picked up a used Sterling MJA100 for a good deal knowing it would probably need some minor repairs (which I can usually do). I don’t need the boost feature and I believe the pickups are passive. Can I just delete the amp from the existing switch or replace the switch with a standard 3 way and delete the battery connection? Replacement switch with the amp is like $60 from Sterling.
