Just got mine today. Plays and sounds even better than it looks! With the 3-band equalizer I can dial in quite a variety of tones... I'm willing to bet some people might think it has two pickups instead of one.
Needless to say it looks incredible in Pearl White with black hardware.
I bought it for $599 brand new just because it was missing the volume knob (I've already ordered a set of pearl-topped black knobs) and it'd been hanging up in the store for a while. The output jack is very tight, hard to plug in and unplug, so I'm guessing some people might've passed it up because of this. I'd have to think I can repair it myself.
Regardless, this is definitely my number one bass from now on. I have a Markbass CMD-121P and it sounds like bass and amp were made for each other.
I've never even played a Stingray so maybe I don't know what I'm missing, but I do know what I have...a killer bass that can get the job done!
