Hey, I've had a SWR-750x and a Goliath III 4x10 cab and i played it with a fender deluxe p bass. The Fender sounds like **** on the SWR, i was wondering would a musicman sterling make it sound way better? thanks!

A Sterling would sound better on most (all) amps.

But if you're used to Precisions, you might find a Stingray suits you better.

My musicman basses sound incredible through my SWR amps, particularly when I use my IOD preamp. It really brings out the low-mid grunt.

C'mon mate! The sound thing is a very personal thing! If you are bored with your current bass, then a new one that you might already have in mind will definately sound better to you! Your question looks like an excuse to buy a new bass. Don't get me wrong but.......

On a largely unrelated note, Johnny "Guitar" Watson was the Gangster of Love a long, long time before I was.

Steve Miller claimed to be, but if you've ever heard him butcher the song "Gangster of Love", you know he's just a poser.
