Sterling vs. Stingray: What is the Difference?

Title says it all. I've known about Stingrays since they came out, but only recently discovered that a slightly different model, the Sterling, is available.

Other than bearing the name of that most sterling person at EBMM, what are the significant differences between the two?

Sterling...

Smaller body
Lower-profile neck, also the fretboard is more narrow at the nut.
Ceramic pickups instead of alnico, also the dual-pickup models are wired in series instead of parallel. The single pickup model has a 3-way switch (parallel, single-coil, series).

ya mynan has it pretty much covered.

The two look alike and have the same "family" of sound but they are indeed different basses. try a search... you'll find quite a few threads on this topic with a ton of info
