just saw this sterling on ebay that does not have the three-band eq at all and includes a single volume knob. since it doesn't have the 3-band active eq, obviously it doesn't have a battery jack either on the back. is this a prototype sterling? a one-off? what the heck is this?

it looks soooo strange without the four knobs!!! should have a purer tone from the humbucker, but ebmm's tone are all about the active eq as well so i don't know. very interesting one-off though.

hey big poppa - i hope you reveal the owner once the bidding is over - i'd love to know. is it really nikki sixx as per jim b's comment?

also, this one must weigh a little heavier since there's no eq cavity cut out of the body.

I think it looks nekked. Interesting how the mole is toward the neck. I kinda thunk it would look better toward the bridge. But I guess that's where the vol usually is. Who knows what the cut out looks like from the back???

Huh... I kinda think Trent is cool. Weird, though. He made available a whole garage band file of "The Hand That Feeds" for downloading or manipulating. Don't see that too often.
