I recently refinished my sterling bass. When I took it apart, I took the connections off of the pickup just by heating up the solder and removing the wires. I did this because I thought it would be easier than resoldering the circuit board. Did I mess up the pickup by doing this or can these connections be resoldered on the pickup. Any helpful advice would be appreciated.

As far as I know, that is perfectly okay.

In some cases, you can leave the iron on a wire or some other component for too long and harm something (good example is melting wire insulation and as a result breaking ground), but just a quick contact to remove a wire should cause you no trouble.

It used to be red, quite a change, forgot to take a good before picture.
