Man Steve has to be one of the classiest people around. I just dropped by his site and two things jumped out at me, one at the bottom of his Virtual CD page he has a picture of his Luke, and two, on his gear page his honesty is second to none. He sounds like one of us talking about our guitars. A true gentleman. I'm starting to really dig his style also...I mean REALLY dig his style ;)

If you had the chance to download the video clips (from a guitar magazine CD) someone posted a few months ago, then what you're saying is very evident.
He's a down to earth guy and he can really crank it too. He can really play with a lot feeling. That I can really appreciate!

I just find it simply amazing how a guy with literally hundreds of songs, and so much fame, can be so honest and down to earth. I love what he said about EBMM, and like you said his playing hits home, his style is a style I can really get inspired by!

Since the 70's Luke's played on thousands of songs...you've been listening to him all along and you didn't even know it...

The one thing I gotta say about Luke is he's got control of his playing beyond belief....with that being said tho' he needs to update the gear section to what he's using RIGHT NOW...and not in 2002...I've got a pair of Custom Audio cabs...they're sweet stuff...I'd kill for a 3+SE at this point too.

I love the "Axis Luke" model pictured on his site:

Nice opening slot mick!
Must have been a good show.

They were all very nice: I think the ups and downs of the buissness.
Simon Philips and Michael Pocaro are great guys too. And damn they can play.
These notes do not exist on my guitar (at least not when I´m playing them)
LUKE RULES!

I had a bigtime jr. high school crush on Jeff and Mike's sister Joleen Porcaro.
The sweetest looking thing you've ever seen.

This had to be around 1975.

Never met jeff or mike. I went to Milliken jr high, and Grant HS (jeff mike and Lukes HS)...until I sorta got kicked out in 11th grade for pot.
:o

Long time ago.

I had to jump in on this discussion, Luke being my main man and all.
I think l've told this story a million times but, here we go again. I met Luke about a 1 1/2 ago, and he really is the classiest guy ever, he has no idea how many people he's inspired, l think he thinks he's just "another jerk" who's lucky to play guitar.

But he really is a very nice humble person, and a kick ass guitarist to boot.

Raz, l have those Steve Lukather lessons (video) if you want them.

Cheers,

Scott.
