So I debated... but eventually pulled the trigger on this. *Bonus* - Neck plate says "Custom Made" which means it was ordered from the factory with the upgraded top, back when that was an option. Pics in the Official Pics thread.

"Custom" means you can order the Y2D with a choice of premium quilt or flame top at a $500 upcharge, you get a neck joint plate engraved with the words "custom made" as well. That was about 2 years ago. Now ebmm do away with this option.

It's likely "discontinued" only in their system from product id perspective. I suspect I got the last one they had that was "on sale".

oh wow, nice, but as far as i know this so called custom y2d it did not have an option in "Quilt" only "Flame" or i would of purchased the "quilt" right away...... urr i have to buy another y2d for my gigs since it stands out so well!

It was available with quilt as well. I don't think you used to be able to pick quilt or flame, but Quilts were available. None the less, the upgrade option is no longer available...
