Steve is a gem of a guitarist in my book. One of my all time favs.
He nails "attitude" perfectly imho, and that is what guitar is all about.

I guess he still loves those guitars as he used to play a solid Black EVH in the early 90's which I think was a gift from Eddie, and in the posted show he is playing the Axis in is from 05.That is how you can tell a guitarist really likes a certain model and was just not going through a phase, when you see him playing one 15 years later. Steve and Idol are an odd/great partnership of a straight up Punk singer and Shredder style guitarist that turned out a hybrid of some great music. Always liked Idols vocals and Steve has produced some of the most insane sound effects recorded on top of his his blistering chops.
