Hey guys..(and gals)...

Since I didn't end up playing at the Open House, I thought I'd throw a little snippet of me playing up on the 'net for anyone who cares to see/hear.

I just pulled a few clips together to keep the download manageable.

Thanks for the kind words, guys.

Darrell, I'm glad you noticed the shirt! Hahahaha. I'm good friends with a guy who owns a local Isaly's (little diner/delicatessen). We played that gig as a favor for him, because he had a band booked for this outdoor festival and they cancelled four days before the show. So I agreed to do it on short notice (for free, no less) to help him out. He gave the whole band some of those 'fluorescent lime' Isaly's tee shirts, and I was the only one with enough balls to wear it on stage. Hahaha! I sure hope he got them for a really good price!

The other guys in the band thought I was nuts, but who stands out on that stage? Hahahahaha. Besides, if we played into the evening hours, I wouldn't need a flashlight to find my way back to the car. :D

edit:

Tim I just watched your clip, and you ROCK, man! Tasty playing!

Gary: I would love to play "Grendel" -- I know it! But my band doesn't do any covers.. just originals.

Fogman: hey.. how did you find out we were the opening act for that "Final Countdown" band? Hahahahah. ;)

Nice stuff.

That clean bit you did on one of the tunes, is that what the JP Peizo sounds like?

That color looks alot nice when you can see it moving around instead of just static pics. ;)

blackspy,

No, I wasn't using the piezo in those clips. I was using my Digitech RP-2000 pedalboard into a Peavey 120/120 rackmount power amp, into a Behringer BG412S 4x12 cabinet running stereo. Oh, and the middle position of the Petrucci's magnetic pickup selector switch.

The 'clean' is nice but a bit 'procesed' sounding to me. I just didn't want to drag my Peavey Triple XXX head to the gig because I was still tweaking out my other pedalboard.

The gigs in that clip were in mid-July of this year. If I were playing a gig today, I'd definitely take my Triple X and home-brewed pedalboard (and the Behringer cab).
