OK here is the problem I have. My purple EVH is in the UK and I dont play it much at the moment. I also dont do much of the floyed any more so...

Do I sell the evh and get a 20th?

Do i sell the EVH and get 2 used silos?

Do I keep the EVH?

Get a 20th if you can. BP loves it, everyone who owns on loves it, I don't own one and I love it.
If you're not going to use your EVH then it makes sense to get something you'll love.
Silos are sweet too.

Get the 20th. I can't compare it to a regular Silhouette, but the 20th has a great vibe, feel, and sound. And they will become harder to obtain as time goes on.


Rob, I'm curious: you've got a 20th, yet you recommend going with the regular Silo....why?

2 is better than 1! Is the 20th silo twice as good as a regular Silo? I doubt it, as good as the 20th is of course.

The collector in me might have a tough time getting rid of the EVH....especially if I didn't really "need" anything else and had other Balls in the collection. I'd be tempted to just stash that one away...but I have a real hard time parting with guitars anyway...

But, you sound pretty open to selling it. And the 20th is awesome and may be just as "collectible"....

So, of the options given, I say sell it, get the 20th and maybe have a little spare $$$ to put towards something else you need in your rig. (I don't know what your EVH will fetch on the market...)

Depends on your "wants/needs", but I think another good option would be to sell the EVH and get one sweet Silo configured/colored to your liking, and have a good chunk of $$$ leftover to put towards a sweet amp or something.

Cheers Rob. Good concept. Still mulling it over. I may sell the EVH in the UK and use the cash to get a 20th from the forum when one comes up.

The EVH is only likely to go up in value. If you don't need another guitar, why not keep it for investment purposes?

The 20th gets my vote. Maybe the EVH's will go up in value, but I do think that the 20th's will start to rise in value as well.

At the moment, you can pick 20th's up for next to nothing on flea-bay, which is criminal to my mind, but I do think that they'll start to rise.

I voted for 2 Silos but would go for a Silo and a Sport mm90 with the money.

If you're not using it nor looking to keep it as a collector piece, by all means get rid of it and get something you'll use.
Try a 20th, and if it's not your cup of tea then try something else.

2 used Silos would be great, you could use them with different pickup configs and such. That'd be great for a gigging musician like yourself, IMO.
