Hi everyone

just bought a second hand Stingray 2000 bass , blond an beautiful

when i played it on the other guys home it was perfect

when i got home and plugged it in all i got was an electric buzzing noise (goes up and down)

no bass tone at all

i think i know its not the input jack and its not my amp

what could it be ? have i been mislead ?

(Paraphrasing here): "The original battery seems fine" -- What do you mean by that? How did you test it?

If you really want to make sure the battery was the problem, you should swap those two batteries back and forth, say, ten times in a row, to see if you can reliably/consistently duplicate the original problem. It'll take you at most ten minutes. Then all doubt will be removed, and you will have complete confidence in your new SR.
