Yeah but that happens with my more modern SR´s as well. AND when boosting treble on the SSL console in the studio I run!

Full treble, no mid, full bass on the SR. Foam under the strings by the bridge. I really like the sound. But noisy treble AND the PUP picked up the click through the speakers in the studio that I played to.
Loud too. So I added some noise reduction and we also added some sounds at the beginning of the song to hide the click on the bass track. Problem solving. Sometimes a part of what we have to do..... But I´ve never experienced that it´s been a problem with noise when boosting treble in a live situation. Only in the studio. And I would say that this is a "problem" with probably all active basses on the market when listening in a quiet recording studio. And, again, even my SSL console adds noise when boosting treble on the filters..... And that thing has bloody expensive filters.....!!
