stingray 5 HH

Hi all.
I have an early 2008 stingray 5 HH with ceramic pickups.Its just before they switcing to alnico.
Do you know if the pickups are in parallel or are in series like a sterling 5?

I would be interested in knowing the general differences in tone and output between the two. How does the 2007 Stingray sound compared to the newer ones?
