I have a Stingray 5 and when I'm in position 1 there is a noticeable increase in volume. Positions 2 and 3 are barely audible. Has anyone else encountered this?

Just curious bc the switch position numbers are a little counter-intuitive to me, but are you referring to position 1 on this diagram?

What year is your Stingray 5H? How long have you had it, and has it always been this way, or is this different from how it used to be?

Mynan - Yes that is the correct position I am talking about. The position closest to the bridge.

Rob - I checked the batteries first, they are fine. The Bass is a 2019 and I've had it for two years. I haven't picked it up in a few months but I don't recall it behaving like this before. I've also noticed that there is a lot of static when in position 2 and 3 as well as hardly any output.

I appreciate your replies!

Ok. The other reason I asked is that it would make more sense for the series position to be slightly louder.

Check the battery connection tabs to make sure they look clean and that one or both are not pushed in and causing a loose connection.

I know it sounds obvious, but make sure the battery is installed properly and doesn't have the positive and negative terminals reversed.

Otherwise, it may need professional help or an email to CS.
