Stingray 5 with Piezo Pickup Question

I have been noticing what seems like a volume reduction when I put my selector towards the bridge, parallel position, on my stingray 5. Anyone have any insights into this? Thanks

The parallel position has a bit less low mids than the series position hence the apparent drop in volume. It is more noticeable when you have a bit of boost dialed in.
