Hi there
I am thinking to buy a 2008 ray5 HH..According to serial number its from 5 march 2008.
I know they went back to alnico in 2008, but it was from the start of the year?
How can i find if this bass has ceramic or alnico?

SR5s shipped as from 12 March 2008 have switched from Ceramic pickups to Alnico.

Yours could be one of the lasts with Ceramic. I would give them a call to look at their specific database.

That looks like a Ceramic magnet pickup. The pole pieces on my Ceramic 2007 Stingray 5HS are all the same height, while my 2012 5H has them staggered

You can try using our serial number database to look up the production date of your guitar. You can find it on our website here: Serial Number Database | Ernie Ball Music Man
