I'll start from this - my EB MM StingRay from 2000 needs a scrap of paper to keep the battery from moving.

I tried all batteries available and they always have space left so I need a scrap of paper.

My problem is that when I touch a battery box with my body/clothes while playing, it sometimes loses a signal.

It makes noises like this: LINK

The battery box is stable and well screwed on. It's about a closing flap.

Sometimes when it happens during exercise, I just press the flap with my finger and it's all right. Nevertheless, taking such a bass to a concert is impossible.

Options are.

A new battery box, easy to acquire and fit.
(Duracell battery is what they are designed around)

Or, unscrew the box and bend the copper plates up a bit.

Or.... do what I do. Remove the box completely. Throw it in the bin. Solder a simple battery snap , locate a closing plate of a EBMM Classic. And never have to worry about a bad battery connection ever again !
I’ve done this to a couple of mine, do a search there are plenty of posts relating to it.

The Duracell batteries (as recommended by the factory) are approximately .020" longer than an Energizer or ProCell.
Ironically, a Duracell is a force fit in my 83' SR but seems to be the right length for the battery box versions.
A carboard shim can work too. To put this in perspective, a piece of copy paper is about .003" thick.
Hope this helps.
