So I went to the UPS store where I had my package left for pickup, I didn't want anyone grabbing my stuff when I was at work. In front of me is this big fender box from a guy on this forum named HanksRay. I quickly unbox to find a really nice MusicMan case and open it and just can't behold the beauty of this instrument. I love this thing it's black sparkle with a white pearloid pickguard. I can't say in words how awesome it is.

I love how this thing plays too so smooth. Even has nice strap locks. I would also post a pick of my 5 string bass but I'll be glad if that thing even gets a few hours of play in a month since I got this. I have a question though the fretboard is kinda dirty since its maple and 7 years old now. Is there any cleaner that you can buy to clean the dirt build up on it?

Thanks I love this forum!

Congratulations!

It was a Black Sparkle Ray (BSR) that started the great San Antonio Stingray Craze of 2002-2003. I had one:

...and it was so good that all my friends had to have Stingrays, too.

Looks like you got a nice one, too.

Looks good!

Now you can replace "My" avatar of "My" old bass with a picture of your new one! :D

The reflection in the sparkle from the window gives a great picture!

Hey, take a picture of the nasty dirty grimy stanky fretboard before and then after you clean it up so we all can go ooh, ahh, like a phoenix rising from the ashes.

You beat me to that one! A two band like that with maple board would have been sold on the spot had I seen it first! Congrats on the beautiful bass!

Ah I love sparkle finishes. When I'm a rockstar doing my Europe tour, I'll be sure to get a few sparkle basses just because. Gorgeous :).

I think it pops out more from the white and black color combo than the sparkles. The pick guard is more noticeable. I really really love this thing I can see why they are so expensive the tone out of it is amazing.
