Stingray fretless to trade with frets (neck only or bass)

Hi All.

I've got this 1994 Stingray fretless unlined. Sounds incredibly good.
But I was used tu lined fretless necks so I'm having a lot of difficulties to play it live... and I don't want the bass to be sitting in the studio because we do albums every 3 or 4 years.

Question 1: shlould I do such a trade?

Question 2: anyone intrested in such a trade?

As a reminder, it looks like this:

If I had a lined SR neck, I'd do this trade. So to answer question 1, yes. Question 2, if I had it, yes.

Why not keep the original neck?
You can have it "lined" by a pro repair guy by cutting fret slots and inserting maple instead of frets. I had this operation done myself and it turned out 100%.

I thought about that as well, but what about the position dots? on mine they're on fret position, on a lined one they should be between lines...

Hi all.

I'm leaving the fretless world.

I'd offer to trade:

a) my fretless neck with a fretted neck (maple fb only)

-or-

b) my fretless stingray with a fretted stingray (maple fb only)

Option a) is better for shipping.

Let me know.

Try to give the Swiss dsitributor, Musik Meyer in Schlieren, a call. They are nice guys there and may be able to help. If you live close enough, it could be even better to visit them right away.
